Assassin's Creed - Respite by MelyCat Assassin's Creed - Respite by MelyCat
Just a quick painting done in stolen spare minutes over the past few weeks, nothing too detailed or polished :D Had been wanting to do a pic of these two while in the midst of a quiet moment, caught outside the assassin personas so to speak.

Done completely in Photoshop w/ pen and tablet

Assassin's Creed series belongs to Ubisoft

Oh my gosh. This drawing has highlighted how much Desmond looks like my baby brother. O___O I will never unsee it now.

Well, there goes his sex appeal...? But seriously, they're both really lovely, and I love the shadows.

Thanks! It seemed only appropriate to do so. Considering the graphic of the games there really wasn't much room for creativity when it comes to their faces XD drawing them looking otherwise would have seemed odd.

Just to let you know, hands are my most challenging points when drawing, I always end up doing them last as a matter of fact XD. When in doubt I look at a reference type photo make sure I don't get too off base, I'm just not that good to pull it all straight out of my head like most people!

Like most people? Hell, thems who can draw perfect hands without reference are just freakishly good. But even with reference pictures, I still manage to make them look a bit yuck.

This is a nice quick painting. I love the Assassins Creed games or maybe I should say I love Assassins Creed II since I haven't played the other games in the series. ^_^

ah, you really must play the first one. While its not as fun as ACII still the story feels more complete having played as Altair.

Hmm...I thought about it. I'm not sure I want to though. I can't get over the drowns in water thing. Lol. I'm almost finished with Assassin's Creed II though. I'm dying to finish it. I'm so close, but school started again. T_T I just have 5 more feathers to collect before I continue the story line. I'm on memory sequence 11 I believe. I think there are 14 total, but I'm not sure. ^_^

that is one annoying factor, fortunately though there is only one mission that really calls for you to be taking a risk near water. You should have heard me when he fell in "I can't believe you can jump off 20 story buildings into 3 feet of hay, but you can't SWIM!! STUPID ASSASSIN" :D There are a few places of water otherwise, but not so much you need be concerned.I would say again to play the first one, the ending in particular really connects to the second one. Its worth it, I have heard the ds side ones aren't all that good though
Ah, yes, there is 14. Have you downloaded 12 and 13? They were seperate. If you haven't I would recommend doing so before you finish 11, if you haven't already that is, so it'll go in order. Otherwise you'll just jump to 14.
Shooting for Master Assassin are you? ;)

Lol. I know right? I don't get it either. I guess his ultimate enemy isn't the templars, but water. =P

I am considering getting the game, but I probably won't get it for a while.

You have to download 12 & 13???!!! I didn't know that. I've never downloaded anything for on the PS3 before. How do you do it? Is it free? I definitely want to get them so I can finish it all in order. I haven't finished 11 yet because school started. :(

I will be a Master Assassin! I love doing all side quests. There were so many assassination missions I was like "Ahhh! When will they end????" I have all the glyphs too. (I so fail at the glyph puzzles though, especially the number ones). I couldn't just leave the feathers either, but after going all over I didn't know how I'd find them all. I tried just going around randomly to find them, but I kept getting really frustrated. I ended up deciding to look up where the remaining feathers were since I had like 20 left and they could be anywhere. I still have 5 left to find since I haven't played yet, but they're in Florence somewhere.

Do you remember the scene where Desmond is outside of the animus and he hallucinates that he is in Acre following Altair? Did you notice that all of the guards around were dressed like Crusaders? Well for my theology class I had to read 165 pages about the history of the Church, which is a ridiculous amount of pages to read in 2 days. Well towards the end of what I had to read it actually talked about the real city of Acre. I was like O_o "Omg. It's a real place and the crusaders actually were there!" Unfortunately for Acre it gets totally destroyed, but I thought it was so cool that parts are historically accurate. I love finding out stuff like that when playing games. ^_^

oh gees, sorry I didn't get back sooner!

Yes, though I'm sure you've found out more about it by now. As long as you can access the Playstation Store on your PS3 you can get them there...well that and if you have a debit/credit card or something to use as well.
Ack, those feathers are a pain XD

Oh yes, that scene...or I should say more specifically that scenary is in AC. While that particular scenario isn't, I recall that building and all from playing the first game as Altair. Besides Acre you also travel to Damascus, Jerusalem, and Masyaf. They really tried to keep it as historically correct as possible which made it so interesting in both games. I actually giggled as I played as Altair and sat atop the Dome on the Rock in Jerusalem.
Its makes the games so much more fun like that!

Lol. It's okay.

I actually hadn't looked into it much yet. I've been busy with homework. You have to pay for them? :'( How expensive are the two sequences?

Lol. They are annoying to find. I still haven't found the last two. =P

I love the accuracy of the scenery! I can't tell you how super excited I got when I looked up pictures of Florence, Tuscany and Venice. I was like OMG they really look like that! I love historical accuracy. Assassins Creed sounds fun. I'd giggle if I did that too. :D I think it makes the games even better too.

Have you seen the trailer for Assassins Creed: Brotherhood? It looks awesome! I can't wait now. I'm so excited!

Yes, but it wasn't a bad price, I think it was around $10 for both sequences, and while the Forli one isn't that big the Bonfire one is so its really not a bad price overall. You don't really need them to advance the storyline any, but they make a nice addition for it all the same

XD I hope you find them soon than!

ahahahaa yes, I can understand that. Myself, when I see something from there on tv shouts of "VIEWPOINT" ring out in my house ;)

seen them, well of course! Not only have I seen them I've downloaded them. I have had the game on preorder for release date delivery for months now! :D I'm going to be impossible to live with come November :evillaugh:
