Another fanart pic done for Ang, this time on request though, so I didn't get to surprise her with it. She wanted Kenshin during his Battousai stage, but yet not in full Hitokiri mode. Thus the darker eyes with the gold ones in the background.

I really did enjoy doing this one, I like to think I'm getting progressively better with each piece I do. Several years ago I wouldn't have really considered doing people, in fact I was more often than not wary of attempting them XD
So, thank you to those that have encouraged me.

The only part that was hand drawn was the head, everything else was drawn and colored in Photoshop with my pen and tablet.

Progressively better? I think you do a great job already. This Kenshin looks like he could be real. If they wanted to make a movie, I'd suggest referencing this picture to find the actor.

Nice shading. I like the way wu keep your shadows light, and you don't use much black. Everything looks so smooth. Smooooooooooth. . . . .

I tend to stay away from using black for any shading, though this pic is one of my lighter toned ones so that was even more so than the norm.
